Feature

Ask the portal a question instead of hunting for the report

The people who most need information out of a campus system are the ones who use it least often. A principal or correspondent signs in occasionally, needs one specific number, and has to remember which of a dozen screens produces it. Most give up and ask a staff member, which is why so much reporting in colleges is still a person forwarding a screenshot.

The Portal Assistant answers the question directly, from the college's own data, and links to the page where something can actually be done about it.

What you get

Answers from real institutional data

It reads a live snapshot of your college's own records rather than generating a plausible-sounding number.

Deep links to the page that acts

Answers come with a link into the relevant screen, so the answer leads to the action instead of ending the conversation.

Scoped like every other role

The assistant cannot surface data the signed-in user is not entitled to see.

Built for occasional users

Aimed squarely at administrators who sign in monthly, not at power users who already know the menus.

How it works

  1. 1

    Ask in plain language

From the portal, in the words the administrator would actually use.

  2. 2

The assistant reads a scoped snapshot

Of the college's own data, within the signed-in user's entitlements.

  3. 3

You get an answer and a link

The number, plus the page that lets you act on it.

Questions we get asked

Can it change data?

No. It answers and links. Actions happen on the page it sends you to, under your own permissions.

Does it see other colleges' data?

No. Tenant isolation is enforced in the database, so there is no query it can construct that reaches another institution's records.

Which plan includes it?

GROWTH and above by default, and available as an override on any plan.
